The core components of EVA protective packaging are primarily customized EVA liners, cushioning pads, positioning slots, and protective dividers, all tailored to the product's structure. Among these, the EVA liner is the most crucial part of the entire packaging structure, mainly responsible for securing the product and providing cushioning protection. During production, it is grooved and cut according to the product's length, width, height, and overall shape to ensure the product fits snugly into the appropriate slots, preventing significant movement during transport. For products with complex shapes or surfaces easily scratched, a soft surface layer can be added to the EVA liner to further reduce friction between the product and the packaging material.
Cushioning pads and impact-resistant structures are also important components of EVA protective packaging. They are typically placed at the bottom, sides, corners, and other impact-prone areas of the product, absorbing and dispersing some of the impact force generated during transport through the elasticity and resilience of the EVA material itself. When the packaging is subjected to drops, collisions, or compression, the cushioning structure creates a protective distance between the product and the outer packaging, reducing the likelihood of direct external force acting on the product. For heavy equipment or precision instruments, additional bottom supports and perimeter reinforcements are typically added based on the stress levels to ensure product stability within the packaging and prevent excessive localized stress.
Positioning structures, partitions, and the outer casing also affect the overall effectiveness of EVA protective packaging. Positioning slots allow products to be placed in a fixed orientation, and when multiple products are packaged together, EVA partitions can separate them to prevent collisions. For packaging requiring long-term transport or repeated use, EVA liners are often used in combination with external structures such as plastic boxes, aluminum boxes, or cardboard boxes. The outer box bears the overall weight and provides external protection, while the EVA liner primarily secures and cushions the product. Through a reasonable combination of internal and external structures, more suitable packaging solutions can be designed based on the weight, size, transport method, and protection level of different products, thus balancing protective performance, ease of use, and packaging costs.
