Preparation Method Of Corrugated Cardboard Boxes

The production of corrugated cardboard boxes mainly involves processes such as base paper preparation, corrugation forming, cardboard lamination, printing, slotting and creasing, die-cutting, forming, and quality inspection. First, suitable raw materials such as linerboard and corrugated base paper are selected based on the box's intended use and load-bearing requirements. The basis weight, moisture content, and surface quality of the base paper are then checked. Next, the corrugated base paper undergoes preheating treatment and is then pressed into a wavy corrugated structure using corrugated rollers. Adhesives are then used to bond the corrugated paper to the face paper and linerboard, forming three-, five-, or seven-layer corrugated cardboard. During production, the amount of glue, temperature, and pressure must be controlled to ensure strong adhesion between the layers and maintain a flat surface, avoiding problems such as bubbling, delamination, or significant deformation. After completion, the cardboard needs to be color-printed according to customer requirements, printing the brand name, product images, text descriptions, and shipping markings on the box surface.

 

After printing, the cardboard proceeds to the slotting, creasing, and die-cutting processes. The equipment cuts the cardboard to the designed dimensions and presses fold lines and slots at the corresponding positions, allowing the cardboard to be folded into boxes according to the specified method. For some boxes with special structures, die-cutting, punching, gluing, or nailing are also required. Afterward, the processed cardboard is folded into box bodies, and the seams are fixed with adhesive or metal nails to form a complete packaging box. Finally, a quality inspection is conducted, mainly checking the dimensions, appearance, printing effect, adhesive strength, and compression resistance of the boxes. After confirming there are no obvious damages, deformations, delamination, or printing defects, the boxes are sorted, bundled, and stored. The entire production process requires reasonable control of various process parameters according to the usage requirements of the boxes to ensure that the produced corrugated packaging boxes have good compression resistance, impact resistance, formability, and transport adaptability.
